Calm resistance and a protest toward traditional womanhood is the starting point of my work. I do my protest by commemorating women’s work in conventional society. I create marks. They are less pronounced and repetitive, yet they are unique because I make on small unit at t time. I do not make reproductions of the units I have created. Then I add an identity to the marks with my own textures, colors, and forms.

I resist, protest, search, and record my identity. I do not know where this journey is leading me, but I know this journey will go on. Now I embrace my femininity and myself as a woman artist who grew up in a traditional society and continued to become what I will become.
