ARTIST STATEMENT
I want the audience to experience a sense of eye-rolling and groaning. Play on words and using simple items that do not usually go together and try to harmonize them with a play on word title. Also using an object that already exist and give it a new use for it. I enjoy blending industrial and organic pieces together to form a piece and just to see how other people react to them.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Ellen Raines is from Milwaukee Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a BFA in film as well as an AA in animation from Milwaukee Area Technical College. She has had her work shown in galleries in parts of Wisconsin and has won multiple awards in Art, Animated short films, and screenwriting. She is represented by the Art Connective in De Pere Wisconsin as well as Gallery 218 in Milwaukee.
