Dian Sourelis

Dian finds beauty, depth and balance in what others cast off. She treasures the odd and beautiful objects that serve to record our shared history and remind us of our common thread. Her most recent work incorporates found, waxed papers including letters, packaging, maps and player piano rolls.

Dian’s use of repetitive imagery, linear and graphic forms, and often, the written word, have produced an ethereal, peaceful body of work that explores the themes of gender, family, memory and purpose.
