Revive the Drive: In 2001 a major traffic artery in downtown Chicago, 75-year-old Wacker Drive, was completely demolished and then rebuilt in a project aptly named “Revive the Drive”. Every possible type of earth-moving/demolition/construction equipment was utilized during the project. With hundreds of workers stretched along the entire length of Wacker Drive performing every task from pouring concrete to hosing down the debris, I seized the opportunity to document the destruction of a piece of Chicago history.
