The Road Trip series focuses on those elements that remain when the map is no longer used for navigation. The realization that this simple tool of communication will soon leave our lives and be replaced by screen and voice generated instruction has led to the creation of this body of work. Map fragments from the 1950’s to the present have been overprinted with small silk collograph plates. Printmaking is the medium, however the finished pieces cannot be editioned.
