For many years, my art-making has been inspired by rocks, how they form and re-form, their strength and beauty, their meaning in ancient ritual sites, and how we use rocks today. In (2012) I traveled to Sweden to Sweden and Norway to experience the rocky landscape from which my ancestors came and in hopes of visiting some ancient standing stones. These carvings are inspired by the thousands of bronze age petroglyphs I walked among near Tanumshede in the Bohuslan area of Sweden.
