Conundrum 36
embossed aluminum
10 x 10 x 1.5 in.

Recent history has taught us to take nothing for granted. Being unsettled has become synonymous with presence for many. I am in search of a new language to show the fragility, ambiguity, sorrow and confusion, and the longing for integrity, hope, love and a future.

The CONUNDRUM series of small works on embossed aluminum consists of drawings of impossible figures. These “metal drawings” feature spaces that can be drawn, but cannot exist in reality. They are a creative continuum that exists in the void between right and wrong, holding the viewer captive, while radiating light and disquieting beauty.
