I’m exploring some whimsical images, sometimes a figure on a ground, making use of the many mental notes I took of things I learned during years of art making. Some visual elements arise from my sculpture and stage set design, as well as from my experiences with painting various subject matter. It is interesting to open the gates to such eclectic visual influences all at the same time. It’s like have a large, messy tool kit. The results are unpredictable.
