Why is a wedding day considered to be a woman’s only ‘special’ day? Why does she wear white, when she isn’t a virgin? Why does she want her dad to ‘give her away?’

The more I see the dishonesty in typical modern weddings, the less I wonder why divorce is so prevalent in America. American women feel cheated if they do not have this experience – even if it is unreal. Do they really believe the sacred vows, or only desire the dress and cake? My work questions Bridal intentions.
