Artist Statement
I recognize my compiled self, made up of many parts, from Spanglish conversations with my Mami to learning how to relax on YouTube… I find my identity is one that is constantly shaped by physical environment and the online world. Using digital manipulation along with projection mapping to create a layered work, one which represents a growing/ever-developing identity.
I present these layers in a single screen for the viewer to experience. Giving the ability to enter into a space with curiosity and a sense of playfulness.
