Childhood is a right, not a privilege. Life is difficult enough for adults, much less for those under the thumbs of others. What is more challenging, is to allow our children to prosper, be enlightened, and just be a kid. The “forgotten child” is lost in domestic drama, abandoned by those that should protect them, or contained inside four walls, stunted by what life brings. As a photographer and mixed media artist, I am always tested to evoke emotion, of what is, and what could have been. When a photograph starts a conversation, I feel I have succeeded.
