What does if mean to be socially distanced? Without physical connection, do we still connect? I have been creating a piece everyday of the quarantine to document and record the sense of both physical isolation and emotional interdependence that has evolved throughout this time. The longing of a kiss or a hug from those who are far away becoming a memory, verses those in your presence who become so attached in our surroundings, we forget to kiss goodnight. There are no hellos or goodbyes where the physical embrace is routine. Like the mind/body dichotomy, there exists the two things at once, a sense of separation from the world and a complete interconnectedness, enmeshed into one.
