“While death is a natural part of life, the holes left behind in my heart and spirit will always be there. As I have wrestled with the loss of several dear friends over the last few years and what they meant to me, I’ve written out many thoughts, emotions, and even bits of conversations we’ve had over time. I’ve then embedded them into the surface of my work, hoping they will ease my burden and guide me along my way.”
