I am an artist based in Chicago and Bangalore, India. As an art educator, curator, arts administrator, and activist creating art-based empowerment programs in rural India, the experiences inform my explorations of identity and interrelation.
As lover of nature, my recent art imagery have evolved through my passion of capturing moments during my travel and trekking expeditions. My art engages with the changing environment, its provenance encompasses assorted print and image making processes—etching, woodcut, photo gravure, photopolymer plate, photo-lithography plate, screen printing, drawing, and painting.
I work with layering of imagery while exploring formal parallels between traditional printmaking and contemporary practices, while digital processes announce the contemporaneity of tradition.
