Original photographs, once a visual aid for my paintings and constructions, have assumed a more central role in my digital montages. Context, texture, and spatial relations extracted from multiple interwoven images, recombine to form compositions that teeter on the edge of dislocation. “Which way is up?” is an oft heard and welcome statement about my work. We live in uncertain times.
