Venetian Dream II

At the base of my collage-paintings are maps, pictures, train tickets, lunch and library passes over which I add and subtract layers of paint, so that the familiar is no longer easily seen and the paper is given new life within my painting. My intention is to remind people that there may be mysterious items to see if one looks more closely.

I am intrigued by the movement, texture and color.  These are the issues I use to play hide and seek with the viewer.
