“During this pandemic I have been experiencing many losses. As an artist I initially thought the quarantine and isolation would be an opportunity to focus on creating. What I learned was that community was intrinsic to my artist practice. The loss of connection to family, friends, neighbors, and my city has a greater impact than I imagined. Staying virtually connected does not fill the void. This work reflects my feelings of loss.”
