As many of us are dealing with unprecedented lifestyle changes within our personal relationships, our relationships with our surroundings are taking on new meanings. Suddenly we become hyper conscious of avoiding the people around us while coping with a loss of physical touch. In these artworks I am thinking about the lingering anxiety of coming into contact with people after social distancing is over. Some are spread far apart and few are close together. What I try to highlight is the physical connection we can still have with our homes and with nature, which has become a substitute for human contact for the foreseeable future.
