My work reflects some of my isolated thoughts of monuments: oil lamps, past generations, whirlpools of marigolds. In making and living with these, I reminisce with shapes of memory from an ancient culture.

Clay is an organic and malleable source material – it’s permanency when fired is like those monument pillars: stable, impermeable and perhaps measureless. I hope my work can be a visual service to the viewer and connect them to their ideas of beauty.
