I am a contemporary mixed media painter. Using my body, the figure and self-portraits, I reflect on the world that surrounds me. My subject matter comes directly from current events. My art is fueled by events that pertain to the empowerment of women, politics, social justice issues or stories of human existence. I create in a space that has no time and no judgment. It allows me to act with ferocity.

Mother
The mother builds the house; she does not just reside in it.
She rises from it.
She is renovating to proclaim her larger place in the world.
The prominence of her inhabitance intensifies.
She is you.
She is me.
She is woman.
Always the bad ass Mother.
