“Loss is interpreted in many forms, but all are expressed in the eyes if those that have experienced it. “Brown Bag Lunch” is a fusion of east and west, my chosen media is Sumi-e and my selected path is figurative. I paint the people of the streets. This painting is a moment caught and translated, the marriage of ink, eastern watercolor and type of paper focuses the mood and energy of the subject. Focus on the eyes conveys at a glance the weight of the subjects journey.”
