ARTIST STATEMENT
I have never felt at ease talking about my inner struggles, so I have relied on my work (visual art, writing) to create a presence for my persistent thoughts and feelings. I often take refuge in reminiscing and exploring the flow of time through the constantly changing landscape of memories. For this reason, in my work, the emphasis is placed on process and the choice of materials is carefully planned out. I often choose mineral (stone) paper as the support for my paintings or collages because, metaphorically speaking, this paper resembles the nature of the mind: delicate, yet strong, soft yet sturdy.
