ARTIST STATEMENT
My practice explores cycles of growth, decay, and transformation. Through a naturalist lens, I examine how the collapse of cultural memory and subsequent loss of heritage shape individual and collective identity. My work employs folklore, mythologic, and ephemeral forms, externalizing realities shaped in the ruins of historical memory. As an American artist of Slavic descent, I center my practice on losses borne from the immigrant experience: how they reshape personal histories and the land itself.
