CHICAGO — Woman Made Gallery is proud to open its 20th Anniversary year with “20 in Their Twenties”, a group exhibition with 29 works by 20 women artists under thirty years of age. WMG is also hosting solo shows by Chicago artists Alexandria Eregbu and Betsy Odom.
Included are painting, printmaking, mixed media, photography, installation, and video works by Indrani Ashe, An-Li Cheng, Kari Cholnoky, Missy Hammond Dunaway, Alexandria Eregbu, Rachel Fay, Silvia Gonzalez, Kate Hampel, Alyce Haliday McQueen, Monika Meler, Emily Moorhead, Liz Moretti, Eileen Mueller, Gaia Nardie-Warner, Allison Nault, Zahra Nazari, Anna Reich, Stacie Scott, Leah Shirley, and Jamie Steele.
Juror: Betsy Odom is an artist living in Chicago. She received her MFA from Yale University in 2007 in sculpture, and a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2002. She has been in numerous group and solo exhibitions both locally and nationally. Her solo shows, ‘Registry’ at ThreeWalls Gallery and ‘Sis Boom Bah’ at the Hyde Park Art Center in Chicago explored the ways gender is embedded within materials and within ways of making.
