ARTIST STATEMENT
I document people and places: not as a traditional documentarian, but as portraits painted in photography or video/film. I am most interested in the person on the street, the working person: street vendors, markets, artisans or artists and collectors of art. I am intrigued with visual double entendres, in accepting accidents of light leaks or floods that transform negatives into positives. My work is where I travel and live, and who I meet along the way. Of the connections we make. Of how women see themselves. Of how everything changes.
