ARTIST STATEMENT
I create abstract artworks characterized by minimal subjects and a restrained color palette, employing a process that intricately layers colors and textures. Starting with the question, -What is the most essential thing in everyone’s everyday life?-, my work delves into the realms of emotions and relationships, exploring the nuanced spaces between them. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, I express these themes through a juxtaposition of organic shapes, interacting with their colors and surroundings.
Motivated by a belief in the artist’s responsibility to convey messages visually, I utilize a technique involving the layering of multiple paint layers. This process includes mixing paint with various mediums and adding drawings using other materials. Each brushstroke symbolizes the memories of my emotions. The compositions feature organic shapes layered with each other, creating a space and color where they meet. I call this space the relationship between shapes, symbolizing the relationship between people and their emotions. This abstract layer in my paintings invites diverse interpretations, encompassing psychological landscapes and inner reflections. The layering of textures in my work reflects a pursuit of authenticity over mere visual appeal, establishing a distinctive artistic language.
My color palette serves as a tool for conveying my message, varying across paintings while adhering to a minimalistic approach. Each color combination is meticulously chosen to evoke tranquil reflections and contribute to visual stability. In my creative process, I engage in simultaneous work on multiple paintings, infusing passion by transitioning between canvases with impromptu and free-flowing vibes.
