As a landscape painter, I am motivated to capture a feeling about the structures in our built environment, especially the homes and buildings we live in. Rapid cultural and societal changes create a sense of upheaval in both urban and small-town rural environments. We become concerned for the structures lost, and by those that replace them. (IL)
