There is a world that exists independent of our individual participation, the world that we are birthed into. In my work, I explore what it means to assimilate, to adapt, to use imagination and create ourselves within these preexisting paradigms. The myriad ways we choose to create within existing ideologies and the different processes we employ is the dialogue that occurs at the intersection in my work.
I explore questions about human consciousness, our evolution, and the relationship between culture, science, and spirituality. I find patterns in nature, thought, behavior, sound, visual image, and dialogue that intrigue me. I investigate their origin and the process by which they have been created, and use that exploration as a springboard for my work.
