My practice challenges the linearity of time. Taking care of a family member with alzheimers, I would often wonder about the impermanence of life. At the same time she taught me that time is not linear, but rather fluid. Time goes backwards, circles around, stops, and skips a little. There is never a single thing happening at the moment but rather many things at the same time. Everyday activities and things seen on the internet show up in my paintings. You see multiple events and different perspectives are merged into one. All seemingly familiar yet strange.
