Nicole Van Dyken
I am a visual artist specializing in painting, pencil drawing, and ink stippling, with a love for vibrant colors. My favorite thing about being an artist is being able to express myself visually and my paintings often have meaning beyond what is displayed on the canvas. ‘The Pull’, is a visual representation of my artistic interpretation of the inner struggle of someone living with anxiety and depression. A lot of my work is meant to tell a story and I enjoy taking even the most morbid tale and adding strength and hope to it through color. My art is often inspired by music which is proven by the representations of music that often show up in my pieces. Growth is also an inspiration of mine, resulting in my depictions of lush and wild plant-life.
