I translate stories, memories, obsessions, and fantasies into visual images with paint. My paintings combine bright, colorful, multi-patterned backgrounds with nostalgic and sometimes romanticized figures and objects. They represent a narrative without context, an emotional snapshot where my sense of drama and selected imagery convey ideas about femininity and the experience of self-examination and discovery.
