I’m interested in fat, aging, and otherwise culturally despised bodies. The widespread desire to re-form the body through the self-inflicted physical trauma of cosmetic surgery both repulses and intrigues me.

My sculpture contents that a contemporary person wears her or his body as a decorative object separate from the self. Its attributes are accented or altered, obsessively planned and compulsively maintained to suit cultural needs and individual desires.
