I am a sculptor who works with natural materials exploring issues concerning our culture and its relationship with nature. I feel that we idealize and romanticize the wilderness and yet exploit its resources for our own uses without regard for the possibility of depleting the supply. My artwork serves to illuminate these attitudes as well as to reconnect us with the earth by honoring parts of it that might go unnoticed.
