ARTIST STATEMENT
As a Chinese-American book artist and printmaker, I use the primary form of a book to explore identity and narrative. My work delves into themes of the Asian-American experience, womanhood, and the shifting attachments to those identities based on the environments I exist in. My books serve as a microcosm to assess my own story. Through traditional structures and sculptural imagery, I chronicle my perpetual conflicting balance between cultural heritage and contemporary realities.
