“Cultural Memory: Transdiasporic Art Practices” was located in an emerging transnational trajectory of memory work in contemporary visual arts. This exhibit included works of artists from diverse locations and heritages, and whose works embody individual acts of memorialization and remembrance in some way. The work ranged from intimate mementos to provisional memorials for collective memories of historical traumas.
