Social issues such as the ones facing minorities inspired the narrative structure of this body of work. The works address different topics dealing with women’s health and self-esteem and discrimination against minorities. They are a reflection of American society and how issues such as eating disorders amongst women need to be brought to the surface, in order for society to treat the illness as mental deficiency. Each work serves as an individual tool to help the audience/viewer become aware of the effects of how society governs our principles and sets the boundaries of what is acceptable in a culture.
