In my work I have a passion for patterns, texture, hidden detail and unexpected imagery. The unrefined, mundane or forgotten becomes a new species. In my life I have a passion for the unreal as well as for the familiar. Sense and nonsense. My assemblage work gives me broader freedom as an artist to explore and expand upon these opposites. Not intended to be social or political in nature, my work reflects personal experiences, broad interests and intimate thoughts.

My art may initially revolve around a particular object, but I never begin with a clear view of what the finished piece will be. Motivated, excited and amused by the seemingly automatic process of just doing – the work reveals itself piece by piece, like a puzzle, until the picture is complete and beckons the viewer to….. look closer and listen to the story.
