Her Mark Gala 2018

Thank You! WMG Raised Close to $40,000! Thank you to all our supporters who helped to make the “Her Mark: 26th Annual Gala” a successful event. WMG’s major annual fundraiser took place on May 11, 2018 at Lacuna’s Reverie Gallerie: 2150 S. Canalport, Chicago IL 60608. It was a fabulous occasion to support Woman Made Gallery (WMG), an arts organization that promotes and celebrates the diverse contributions of women in the arts through programs that serve, educate and enrich the community. The theme, “Her Mark,” reflected on the important contributions women artists have made to our culture. It was with great joy that we honored Sandra Perlow, one of the many outstanding artists who has made “Her Mark” on Chicago’s art scene and on WMG. Sandra Perlow is a Chicago-based visual artist working in printmaking, painting, and collage media. She studied painting and drawing at the School of the Art Institute, where she received a B.A.E. and M.F.A. She received a printmaking degree from the Illinois Institute of Design. Perlow is the recipient of several awards, including residencies at Yaddo, the American Academy in Rome, the Chicago Artist Coalition, and The Spertus Institute. She has lectured at The Art Institute of Chicago and her work has been exhibited at Dubhe Carreno Gallery, Rockford Museum, the Brauer Museum, Linda Warren Galleries, and Woman Made Gallery among others. She is a member of the Spertus Institute’s Midwestern Arts Lab residency program for 2016-2017. Perlow serves on the WMG Board of Directors. WMG’s silent auction offered a variety of original fine arts and craft works by WMG supporters, and an array of creative gift packages, certificates to theaters, restaurants, and various services. Included was a raffle with an original Sandra Perlow painting won by Jim Gillespie; Paul Ryan won the Instant Wine Collection; and Cydney Lewis received the Premium ARTIC Membership.
