Inspired by Her: A Zine Making Workshop
May 29 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
$25Celebrate the women who shape us—one page at a time. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create a zine honoring an influential woman in your life through personal storytelling, reflection, and collage. Led by Cynthia E. Hanifin in collaboration with Zine Club Chicago, this session will guide you through creative prompts and zine-making techniques to transform memory into art. Attendees are welcome to bring photos or small piece of memorabilia related to the woman they’re honoring to inspire their work or include in their zine. No prior experience is needed—just bring your creativity! Each participant will leave with their own handmade zine.
The workshop will include a brainstorming & freewriting session, designed to spark reflection on your chosen woman’s everyday life, strengths, impact, and/or imagined superpowers. Through guided prompts, participants will identify key themes and stories to incorporate into your zines.
