Hear Me Roar depicts the anger and wrath of a woman being stripped of their basic human rights. Blue in the face and with red, fiery hair, her superhero colouring represents her as a fighter for justice on a fearless plight for freedom and to make the world a better place for all.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
A Sydney-based National Art School dropout, I’m inspired by an ever-growing desire to understand the human condition and my place in the world. I find the creation of art a way of unpacking and processing some of the weird, wonderful & awful things that keep me up at night, make my heart flutter with delight, or see me curled up under the covers crying myself to sleep. My art is often deeply personal, but covers themes that relate to many and will often depict and contemplate love, beauty, pain, anger and the profound.
