ARTIST STATEMENT
While I meticulously cut each landscape, figure, or image and begin to place them on the page, a story begins unfolds. Each image telling its own story of love, grief, hardship, resilience, change, or hope.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Being born to immigrant parents in a small rural town in Utah, I delighted in stories told from my elders. Stories of love, grief, pain, joy, and resilience are the underbelly of my work. Working with various materials from hand cut paper collage, sculpture, paint, and oil pastels, I combine my fascination of texture, color, stories, and movement to create images that reflect the rich narrative of the human experience.
I am the Lead Artist-in-Residence and Curatorial Advisor for 2026 at Art Crawl Harlem on Governors Island.
