This work is about the ways that sex toys can function as objects of independence and sexual freedom and how they can bring you pleasure by yourself and with other non-men. They act as an altar to the inanimate objects that have helped guide people towards better understanding how they want to experience pleasure.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Shayna Kiblin is a fiber and installation artist based in Rochester, NY. Her work emphasizes the process of making, focusing on themes surrounding home and identity. She has a BFA in Fine Art Photography from the Rochester Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing an MFA in Studio Fine Arts at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
