ABOUT THE ARTIST
Quin de la Mer (American, b. 1966) is a posthumanist artist whose practice explores material alchemy, ecological transformation, and spiritual engagement. Working through painting, alternative photography, and ritual-based art-making, de la Mer approaches abstraction as a mode of spiritual inquiry—one that reveals the entanglement of human and more-than-human realms and brings unseen forces into felt experience.
For de la Mer, art becomes a borderland where what is vanishing might still speak. Through sustainable methods and deep attunement, they create visual languages that hold disappearance, haunting, and the resilience of the Earth within the context of climate thresholds.
