ARTIST STATEMENT
these images are from the series 3rd Arc where I was continuing to explore my personal experience with my families pain and suffering created by reckless destruction of life by war. My exploration of life and loss continued with these works as the stones represent so much of history and family loss.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Pauline Kochanski a graduate of Columbia College Chicago and DePaul University, is a Chicago area multi-disciplinary artist, independent curator/juror, published poet, and teacher. She is the recipient of numerous awards and recognitions for her work including grants from the Illinois Arts Council and a featured artist in Chicago Artists’ Month.
