Everything is inspired by something else. For me… inspiration comes from experiences, from my past paintings, as well as from facts, lies, concepts, stories, many which I adopt as my own.

When I was young, I wandered through gallery after gallery. I felt like Cinderalla in a palace. Pleasure of paint came early to me; classes and the first few years were of exploration; then came originality and self expression. I realized a painting could stop the sun from setting.

My grid based paintings are much more than a device for me. I have worked with the grid since early on, remaining true to its constraints…except for the times when they decide to break out to the point of abstraction.
