These images of dolls are from my Escape series of dolls falling, diving, floating, singing, and flying through space. The dolls are symbolic of the innocent assumption that we are safe within the boundaries and institutions of the United States. These images are to be read as a narrative of escape from fear and grief and a transformation to hope and joy.
