ARTIST STATEMENT
My prints and photographs are inspired by various social causes. This work addresses homelessness and shows Ru who was one of the protesters at Grow Heathrow, a land squat and community garden west of London. It was occupied in 2010 by people concerned about the possibility of the expansion of Heathrow Airport. Half of the site was evicted in 2019 and the other half was evicted in 2021. Ru was one of the individuals who became homeless despite her commitment to the cause.
