ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mercury is an artist based in Scotland, working across mixed media to explore themes of intimacy and hidden cultural narratives. Her practice often examines how personal experiences are shaped by broader social contexts, with a particular focus on visibility, and the spaces between what is seen and what remains unspoken.
She holds an MA in Illustration from Edinburgh College of Art, UK, and a BA in Digital Media Art from Shenzhen University, China. Her cross-cultural background continues to inform her approach, bridging different cultural understandings.
Mercury’s work has been exhibited internationally. Recent exhibitions include Getxophoto Festival (Spain, 2026), Summer Juried Exhibition at Viridian Artist Gallery (New York, USA, 2026), WHISPERer at London Craft Week (London, UK, 2026), and Echoes of Time at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Edinburgh, UK, 2025). She was also featured in a solo publication by Dek Unu Magazine (July 2026). Her work is held in private collections across the UK, China, and internationally.
Through her evolving practice, Mercury investigates how images can create space for nuanced, intimate, and often overlooked human experiences.
