Spaces
plaster, steel, rope, bolts
90 x 25 x 16 in.

To me sculpture is made when something cannot so purely be spoken. It is the truth that lies behind the soul. My sculpture is about the space that lies between myself and the world around me. It is most often a conceptual space which is why my sculpture reveals a story or a feeling.

I like to work with different materials in my sculpture but I primarily use metal. Metal has a strong historical aspect for me because I am a third generation welder. I use the female form because I am a woman and it is a strong part of who I am in the world and why it creates tension in some spaces.
