ARTIST STATEMENT
Marilyn Hrymak loves to express themes of social justice, feminism, ecology, Goddess and emotional growth by transforming mundane, reclaimed, worn out clothing and other items into her art.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Marilyn is a political activist, grandmother and retired teacher. Exploring the world in search of Goddess is one of her favorite passions. She lives in Sycamore IL and Free Soil MI and has been in exhibits such as ArtPrize, Grand Rapids MI and Pick Museum of Anthropology, DeKalb IL. Memberships include Association for the Study of Women and Mythology, Woman Made Gallery, Life Force Arts Ensemble and Kishwaukee Valley Art League.
